All snacks, desserts, coffee or extra food will be the responsibility of the individual athlete to pay for, the kids are welcome to pack their own food.
A word about Chaperones: As the coach I need to know where athletes are at all times. I need to know who is responsible for athletes if they are not with me. Please inform me directly if you need to be with your athlete, take them from the meet etc. Inside the hotel, Athletes will be asked by the chaperones to show their faces, to be sure all athletes are where they are supposed to be. I will be monitoring the hallways as the coach at random during the evening and verifying that athletes are not leaving their rooms. I will use the remind app to communicate directly to athletes about being out of the room, in the lobby, van, dining room etc. I will take any other best practice advice you may have and share it with moms who will be near by our athletes.

This is the most important meet of the year to date. Only the best two athletes are competing with strategic exceptions. The top six to eight athletes are expected to be ready for relays. Alternates are still expected to attend, and I hope will also be willing to practice next week.
Skip to the essentials by scolling down to the tickets link
This is a Conference Championship: Things to keep in mind:
Next Week is Districts
Some of our athletes need to peak at Districts
Some of our athletes need to peak at Regionals or State
Some of our athletes will not compete in the PTC Championship or Districts
I expect all athletes to continue to practice because we will be doing time trials to measure your personal performance improvements over the course of these many weeks.
Athletes who do not compete on Wednesday will go through harder exercise than competitive peers on Tuesday.
If you are among the top six to eight in a relay the team needs you to practice sharp fast handoffs though you may not be listed as a participant.
The fastest four athletes are listed as a relay team except in cases where the progression of split times have been steadily below the one open time I have for an athlete early in the season. There are also some circumstances where an athlete is rightfully a part of a relay but cannot compete because other open events max the athlete with four total events.
Some athletes are the second or first athlete in an event but are not set to compete in it because of their strength in other events, a similar rationale to that above.
