For the 2024 state meet only, advancement to the finals will be the top two (2) from each of the three (3) qualifying heats and the next two (2) fastest times.

The following is a tentative arrangement that I hope to cooperate with parents in order to fine tune:

The van will leave at 10:00am Thursday Tentatively

Upon arrival in Dayton we will

1. Visit Welcome Stadium and Get on the Track, potentially set up camp | 1:30 pm
2. Return to the hotel for Check-In | 2:30-3:00pm
3. Settle | 3:00-3:45pm
4. Return to Welcome Stadium | 3:45 pm-4:10pm
5. Relax Prepare to Run | 4:10-5:00pm
6. Warm-up | 5:00pm
7. Thursday Night: Girls 4x100m starts at | 5:30pm

Friday Night: 4×100 7:10pm

800m 7:45pm

• Practices:
  1. Monday 1:00-2:30pm,
  2. Tuesday 3-4:30pm,
  3. Wednesday 3-4pm

It is a violation of the regulation that prescribes the school season for a school to schedule competition after
June 1, 2024. Individuals may compete non-interscholastically, but school team competition must cease as of
June 1.

This is a Conference Championship: Things to keep in mind:

Next Week is Districts

Some of our athletes need to peak at Districts

Some of our athletes need to peak at Regionals or State

Some of our athletes will not compete in the PTC Championship or Districts

I expect all athletes to continue to practice because we will be doing time trials and competitive marks to measure your personal performance improvements over the course of these many weeks.

If you are among the top six to eight in a relay the team needs you to practice sharp fast handoffs though you may not be listed as a participant.

The fastest four athletes are listed as a relay team except in cases where the progression of split times have been steadily below the one open time I have for an athlete early in the season. There are also some circumstances where an athlete is rightfully a part of a relay but cannot compete because other open events max the athlete with four total events.

Some athletes are the second or first athlete in an event but are not set to compete in it because of their strength in other events, a similar rationale to that above.
